Türkiye's daily power consumption down 0.2% on August 2

- Electricity exports amount to 13,890 megawatt-hours and imports total 1,420 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.2% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,119,523 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 53,651 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 36,809 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 1,131,498 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a fall of 0.3% compared to Thursday.

Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 28.5% of total generation, while imported coal and hydroelectricity plants contributed 21.2% and 13.2%, respectively.

On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 13,890 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 1,420 megawatt-hours.
