Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.2% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 927,776 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,235 megawatt-hours at 15.00 local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,362 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 925,394 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a drop of 0.2% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 21.9% of total generation, while hydro power and imported coal contributed 19.4% and 13.3%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 11,721 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 14,103 megawatt-hours.
