Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye declined by 0.21% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 865,133 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 40,419 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,668 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 854,343 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a fall of 0.16% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas constituted 27.5% of total generation, while imported coal and lignite plants contributed 23.7% and 14.2%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,021 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 16,812 megawatt-hours.
