Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.26% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,084,340 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 53,031 megawatt-hours at 4 p.m. local time (1300 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 35,511 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,085,803 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a decrease of 0.28% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 26.6% of total generation, while imported coal and hydropower plants contributed 22.3% and 15.4%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 14,169 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 12,594 megawatt-hours.
