Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased 0.38% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 861,003 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
TEIAS data showed that hourly power consumption peaked at 41,613 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT) and the country's electricity consumption fell to 29,023 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 845,994 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decrease of 0.51% compared to Thursday.
Imported coal plants contributed 26.2% of total generation, while wind and lignite plants supplied 22.1% and 15.7%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 8,562 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 23,572 megawatt-hours.
