Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.68% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 933,584 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,114 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,203 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 935,733 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a fall of 0.61% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 23.4% of total generation, while hydroelectricity plants and wind power plants contributed 20.2% and 18.9%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,524 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 4,408 megawatt-hours.
