Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.89% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 945,924 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,867 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,690 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 961,250 megawatt-hours on Friday marking a fall of 0.89% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 24.6% of total generation, while natural gas and wind plants contributed 20% and 17%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 15,627 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 278 megawatt-hours.
