Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.92% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 979,620 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,050 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,697 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 984,769 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a drop of 1% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 23.1% of total generation, while hydroelectricity plants and natural gas plants contributed 20% and 18.6%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,143 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 1,061 megawatt-hours.
