Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 10.2% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 820,891 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 39,214 megawatt-hours at 8 p.m. local time (1700 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 28,433 megawatt-hours at 8 a.m. local time (0500 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 902,723 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a decrease of 10% compared to Saturday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 27.1% of total generation, while natural gas and lignite plants contributed 22.5% and 12.5%, respectively.
On Sunday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 5,443 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 13,896 megawatt-hours.
