Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased 1.06% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 905,753 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,888 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,991 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 898,781 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decrease of 1.12% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 19.8% of total generation, while imported coal and hydroelectricity plants contributed 16.4% and 15.6%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 4,592 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 11,564 megawatt-hours.
