Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased 1.2% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 983,172 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,208 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,256 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 993,458 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decrease of 1.34% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 31.1% of total generation, while imported coal plants and hydroelectricity plants contributed 24.4% and 12.5%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 10,994 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 710 megawatt-hours.
