Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye declined by 1.24% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,066,343 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 51,245 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,490 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,056,766 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a drop of 1.37% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 21.36% of total generation, while imported coal, hydroelectricity and lignite plants contributed 21.33% and 12.97% respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 7,291 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 15,710 megawatt-hours.
