Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye declined by around 1.43% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 851,675 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 40,189 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 28,829 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 845,159 megawatt-hours on Friday marking a decrease of 1.52% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 26.6% of total generation, while wind and natural gas plants contributed 16.5% and 16.4% respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 4,387 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 10,903 megawatt-hours.
