Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 1.82% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 869,287 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 40,158 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,096 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 842,248 megawatt-hours on Friday marking a decrease of 1.82% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 24% of total generation, while wind plants and natural gas contributed 19% and 16.2%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 5,753 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 16,937 megawatt-hours.
