Türkiye's daily power consumption down 2.2% on March 14

- Electricity exports amount to 12,599 megawatt-hours and imports total 1,559 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased 2.23% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 888,973 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 41,196 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,022 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 900,013 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decrease of 2.25% compared to Thursday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 22.2% of total generation, while wind and natural gas contributed 15.2% and 14.6%, respectively.

On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 12,599 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 1,559 megawatt-hours.
