Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 2.7% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 917,775 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,887 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,413 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 908,046 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking an increase of around 1.6% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 22.3% of total generation, while hydroelectricity plants and natural gas plants contributed 20.5% and 19.5%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,292 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 17,264 megawatt-hours.
