Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 3% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 885,392 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 40,310 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,545 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 890,532 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a fall of 3.1% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 18% of total generation, while imported coal plants and wind plants contributed 16% and 13.3%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 11,161 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 6,021 megawatt-hours.
