Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 3.3% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 910,168 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,621 megawatt-hours at 12 a.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,112 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 929,644 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a drop of around 3.5% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 24.6% of total generation, while wind and hydroelectricity plants contributed 18.6% and 14.9%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 4,436 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 17,880 megawatt-hours.
