Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 3.3% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 919,226 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,349 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,653 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 906,260 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decrease of 3.5% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas constituted 30% of total generation, while imported coal and lignite plants contributed 27% and 12%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 4,146 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 17,111 megawatt-hours.
