Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 4.2% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,112,546 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 53,202 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 36,788 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,120,124 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decrease of 4.4% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 26.9% of total generation, while imported coal and hydroelectricity plants contributed 20.9% and 13.8%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 13,176 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 5,554 megawatt-hours.
