Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 8.95% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 866,371 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,020 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,948 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 886,018 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a decrease of 8.56% compared to Saturday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 24% of total generation, while natural gas and wind plants contributed 19.7% and 18.4%, respectively.
On Sunday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 19,666 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 34 megawatt-hours.
