Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased 9.2% on Wednesday, compared to the previous day, totaling 823,622 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 39,325 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 28,663 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 825,367 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a fall of 9.1% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 18.8 of total generation, while hydroelectricity and solar plants contributed 15.5% and 13.2%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,981 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 5,236 megawatt-hours.
