Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 0.05% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 891,119 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,122 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,358 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 884,771 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a rise of 0.04% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 19.3% of total generation, while hydroelectricity plants and natural gas plants contributed 19% and 15.8%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,285 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 12,810 megawatt-hours.
