Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 0.17% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 936,986 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,480 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,449 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 951,079 megawatt-hours on Thursday marking a rise of 0.13% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 25.1% of total generation, while natural gas and wind plants contributed 18% and 16.3%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 16,231 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 2,000 megawatt-hours.
