Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 1% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,023,499 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 49,683 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,319 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,037,997 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking an increase of 1.5% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 34.2% of total generation, while imported coal and hydroelectricity plants contributed 23.4% and 14.9%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 15,047 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 549 megawatt-hours.
