Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 1.03% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 947,976 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,682 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,970 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 963,961 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an increase of 1.05% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 24.4% of total generation, while natural gas plants and wind power contributed 20.6% and 17.5%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 16,332 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 347 megawatt-hours.
