Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 1.1% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 926,703 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,897 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,252 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 919,551 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking an increase of 1.11% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from hydroelectricity plants constituted 21.3% of total generation, while natural gas and imported coal plants contributed 19.3% and 16%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 5,933 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 13,127 megawatt-hours.
