Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 11.13% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 816,709 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 38,086 megawatt-hours at 12 a.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 27,183 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 808,674 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking an increase of 11.38% compared to Sunday.
Electricity production from natural gas power plants constituted 19.6% of total generation, while imported coal and wind power plants contributed 19.1% and 13.4%, respectively.
On Monday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 5,912 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 13,639 megawatt-hours.
