The daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 13.2% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,083,747 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 53,049 megawatt-hours at 4 p.m. local time (1300 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 34,430 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production reached 1,075,807 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking an increase of 14% compared to Sunday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 26.7% of total generation, while imported coal plants and wind plants contributed 20.5% and 14.5%, respectively.
On Monday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,683 megawatt-hours, and its imports totaled 14,624 megawatt-hours.
