Türkiye's daily power consumption up 13.6% on July 22

- Electricity exports amount to 14,062 megawatt-hours and imports total 4,860 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 13.6% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,176,451 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 58,387 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 36,108 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 1,185,460 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a rise of 14.3% compared to Sunday.

Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 26.5% of total generation, while imported coal plants and hydroelectricity plants contributed 20.4% and 18.4%, respectively.
