Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 14.2% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,078,733 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 54,774 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,436 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,080,408 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a rise of 15% compared to Sunday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 23.5% of total generation, while imported coal and hydropower plants contributed 22.2% and 13.8%, respectively.
On Monday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 14,739 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 13,022 megawatt-hours.
