Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 1.6% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 954,797 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,422 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,505 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 970,664 megawatt-hours on Tuesday marking a rise of 1.6% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 30.7% of total generation, while imported coal plants and hydropower plants contributed 25% and 14.3%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 16,309 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 443 megawatt-hours.
