Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 17.8% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 959,682 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,656 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,462 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 961,586 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a rise of 17.3% compared to Sunday.
Electricity production from hydroelectricity plants constituted 24.8% of total generation, while wind and imported coal plants contributed 18.7% and 17%, respectively.
On Monday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,447 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 4,102 megawatt-hours.
