Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye increased by 2.5% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 929,858 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,596 megawatt-hours at 15.00 local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,579 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 927,469 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an rise of 2.5% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 26.5% of total generation, while hydro power and imported coal contributed 18.3% and 13.3%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 12,050 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 14,448 megawatt-hours.
