Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 2.61% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,102,425 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 53,654 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,411 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,090,739 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking an increase of 2.33% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 26% of total generation, while natural hydroelectricity and imported coal plants contributed 20.4% and 18%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 5,216 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 16,939 megawatt-hours.
