Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 2.7% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 892,296 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,144 megawatt-hours at 12 a.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 28,817 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 879,314 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking an increase of 2.95% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 23.2% of total generation, while natural gas plants and wind plants contributed 22.5% and 17.2%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 9,086 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 22,067 megawatt-hours.
