Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 3% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,074,376 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 52,409 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,653 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,065,822 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking an increase of 3.2% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 26% of total generation, while natural hydroelectricity and imported coal plants plants contributed 18.8% and 18.2%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 5,344 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 13,841 megawatt-hours.
