Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 3.9% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,010,723 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 48,631 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,776 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,024,008 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking increase of 3.7% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 32.2% of total generation, while imported coal and hydropower plants contributed 23.4% and 11.5%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 14,189 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 904 megawatt-hours.
