Türkiye's energy import bill down 13.1% in February

- Country's crude oil imports decrease 14% compared to February 2022

Türkiye's energy import bill decreased by 13.1% to $6.74 billion in February compared to the same month of 2022, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Friday.

The data shows that the overall import bill in February, including energy and other items, totaled $30.71 billion.

At $6.74 billion, energy accounted for 21.9% of the overall import figures in Türkiye in February.

Crude oil imports showed a 14% decrease to 2.02 million tons of crude in February, compared to 2.35 million tons in February 2022.
