Türkiye's energy import bill increased by 8.8% to $5.73 billion in November compared to the same month last year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Tuesday.
The country's energy import bill totaled $5.27 billion last November.
The data shows that the overall import bill for the month, including energy and other items, totaled $29.74 billion.
At $5.73 billion, energy accounted for 19.3% of the overall import figures in Türkiye in November.
Crude oil imports saw a 12.4% decrease to 2.59 million tons, compared to 2.96 million tons in November 2023.
