Turkey's energy import bill decrease by 59.8% to $1.48 billion in April this year compared to the same month last year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Friday.
The data shows that Turkey's overall import bill, including energy and other items, totaled $13.55 billion in April, with energy accounting for 10.9% of the overall import figures.
The overall energy import bill was down last month, with the country's decrease in crude oil purchases.
The country's crude oil imports showed a nearly 1.1% fall compared to April 2019.
Turkey imported approximately 2.35 million tons of crude oil last month, down from 2.37 million tons in April 2019.
