Equinor's income declines 41% in 1H23

- Company's revenue also drops to $22.9 billion from around $29.2 billion quarter on quarter, and $36.5 billion year over year

The net income of the Norwegian energy company Equinor fell 41% year over year to nearly $6.8 billion, according to its financial results statement released on Wednesday.

The company earned around $11.5 billion during the May-July period of last year.

The company's income also showed a quarter-on-quarter drop of 63.2% to stand at around $1.8 billion.

Equinor posted around $52 billion in total revenue for the first half of the year, down 28% from about $72 billion during the same period last year.

The company's total revenue for the second quarter of the year amounted to approximately $22.9 billion, a decline from $29.2 billion quarter over quarter and $36.5 billion year over year.
