The Copenhagen-headquartered Maersk Drilling has announced the award of a multi-million dollar exploration deal with Hungarian energy company MOL in the Southern North Sea on Monday.
The company agreed the one-well deal for the ultra-harsh environment jack-up rig, the Maersk Interceptor.
The deal is valued at more than $16.5 million.
Maersk Drilling said work is expected to commence in August 2020 and should run for 60 days.
Morten Kelstrup, chief operating officer of Maersk Drilling, said: 'We are happy to be working together with MOL on this exploration campaign with exciting prospects.'
