- OPEC and allies will have ordinary meeting on 1st and 2nd of July

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has agreed to move its next meeting to July 1, followed by a meeting with non-OPEC allies on July 2, OPEC said in a statement on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the dates for the meetings of the 176th (Ordinary) Meeting OPEC Conference and the 6th OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting have been rescheduled to July 1 and July 2, respectively.

'These replace the original dates of June 25 and 26,' OPEC stated.

In OPEC and non-OPEC ministerial meeting, members are expected to discuss the future of the production deal which saw oil output slashed by 1.2 million barrels a day.

OPEC and its allies had agreed on Dec. 7, 2018 to collectively lower their oil production by 1.2 million barrels per day for the first six months of 2019.
