The net income of French oil giant TotalEnergies during the first six months of 2023 declined by 9% to $9.6 billion compared to the same period last year, according to its financial results statement released Thursday.
TotalEnergies earned around $10.6 billion during the January-June period of last year.
The company’s income also showed a drop of 28% quarter-on-quarter to stand at $4.1 billion.
The company posted around $109.7 billion in revenue for the first half of the year, down 18% from about $134.4 billion during the same period last year.
The company’s revenue for the second quarter of the year amounted to $51.4 billion, a decline from $58.3 billion quarter-on-quarter and $70.4 billion year-over-year.
