Turkey's wind electricity generation hit all-time record on Friday, generating 20.01% of total power, according to data from Turkey's Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
The country produced 187,598 megawatt-hours (MWh) of electricity from wind farms on Friday, according to data provided by TEIAS.
Total electricity production amounted to 937,377 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.66% decrease compared to Thursday.
Daily electricity consumption in the country also decreased by 0.52% totaling 937,921 megawatt-hours on Friday compared to the previous day.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,567 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,788 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 11,199 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 10,410 megawatt-hours.
