Belarus yet to get high quality oil via Druzhba p/line

- Negotiations with Russian side are ongoing in Moscow to resolve issue over poor quality oil

Belarus has yet to receive oil of sufficient quality as per its contract via the Druzhba oil pipeline system, according to a statement from Belarus state oil company Belneftekhim on Monday.

Belneftekhim halted the transit because of the poor quality of its oil, which was discovered on April 19.

The statement revealed that negotiations led by Belneftekhim Deputy Chairman Vladimir Sizov with the Russian side are continuing in Moscow.

The Belarus state oil company said that Belarusian refineries are still working at reduced capacity.

Ukraine, Poland and Slovakia have also suspended intake from the line on Thursday and are awaiting full resolution of the problem.
