Turkey's crude oil imports up 26.37% in July

- Production of oil refinery products increase by 25.15% to 3.20 million tonnes in July

Turkey's crude oil imports rose by 26.37% to 2.88 million tonnes in July 2019 compared to the same month of 2018, according to a report released by the country's energy watchdog on Wednesday.

The country imported the most crude oil from Russia with 1.26 million tonnes in July. Iraq and Kazakhstan followed with 924,112 and 248,476 tonnes, respectively, the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) said.

The country's total imports of oil products increased by 4.21% in July to 4.10 million tonnes compared to July 2018.

Oil refinery production also increased by 25.15% to 3.20 million tonnes. In addition, diesel and gasoline production was up by 45.29% and 2.17%, reaching nearly 1.30 million tonnes and 456 thousand tonnes, respectively.

In July, total fuel sales jumped by 2.81% to 2.92 million tonnes compared to the same month last year.
