Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 10.8% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 796,977 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 38,270 megawatt-hours at 8 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 27,320 megawatt-hours at 8 a.m. local time (0500 GMT)
Electricity production amounted to 805,337 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a fall of 10.7% compared to Saturday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 26.7% of total generation, while natural gas and hydropower plants contributed 16% and 14.1%, respectively.
On Sunday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 13,634 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 5,101 megawatt-hours.
