Türkiye's total oil imports increased by 0.96% to 4.24 million tons in October compared to the same month in 2022, according to recent data released by the country's energy watchdog on Friday.
Crude oil imports, the category with the highest oil import volume, rose by 2.04% in October to 2.94 million tons, the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) said in its monthly report.
Türkiye imported the majority of its oil and oil product needs from Russia in October, totaling 2.11 million tons. Iraq and Kazakhstan followed with 865,903 tons and 553,687 tons, respectively.
Oil refinery product exports increased by 9.63% to 1.29 million tons, while output also increased by 7.32% to 3.44 million tons.
Furthermore, domestic oil product sales increased by 1.05% year over year in October to 2.67 million tons.
